Peer Review Process
A transparent framework for the scholarly assessment of manuscripts from receipt to final decision.
Review criteria
Peer review evaluates a manuscript’s originality, scholarly validity, methodology, argument, sources and contribution. Eligible manuscripts are normally assessed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
Anonymity and confidentiality
The journal follows a double-blind review model: authors’ identities are concealed from reviewers, and reviewers’ identities from authors. Authors should remove identifying details from the main manuscript and provide author information separately. Reviewers must preserve confidentiality, disclose conflicts of interest and provide fair, evidence-based feedback.
Decision and appeals
The editor decides whether to accept, request revisions or reject a manuscript, taking reviewer reports and journal policies into account. Revised manuscripts may be reassessed; revision does not guarantee acceptance. Reasoned appeals are considered under the journal’s policies. Review duration depends on the subject, reviewer availability and any required revisions; acceptance is not guaranteed.
